Matcha Bowl with Transparent Glaze Made from Three Types of Clay
A matcha bowl featuring a beautiful, soft amber hue and the natural texture of the clay.
The warm, pale brown tones are layered with ochre and reddish shades, creating a look that is both rustic and rich in character.
It features a wide, relaxed mouth and a rounded body shape. The slightly flared rim retains the natural irregularities unique to handcrafted pieces.
The colors and particles of the clay visible through the transparent glaze are the great appeal of this vessel.
The contrast with the vibrant green of matcha is beautiful, making this a bowl that will gently brighten your daily tea time.
Anna’s Commitment
This tea bowl is crafted using three different types of clay: white Shigaraki clay, red Izumo clay, and raw clay harvested in Nara Prefecture.
By combining clays born from different lands, the colors, particles, and textures complexly overlap, resulting in a vessel with a character that could not be achieved with a single type of clay.
A transparent glaze is used for the finish.
Instead of covering the clay’s appearance with a colored glaze, this finish brings out the inherent colors and textures of the clay itself.
The pale amber and reddish hues that emerged during firing, along with the small particles and surface irregularities, convey the personality of the materials exactly as they are.
Additionally, the area near the bottom of the vessel is left unglazed, preserving the original, coarse texture of the clay.
The foot shows traces of hand-carving, allowing you to enjoy the contrast with the smooth, glazed sections.
It is a matcha bowl that respects the individuality of the soil and brings out the natural beauty of the materials.

Returns / Exchanges
Each piece is made by hand. Therefore, the shape and size may be slightly different.
For this reason, we do not accept cancellations of orders after they have been dispatched, nor do we accept returns or exchanges for defective goods other than damaged goods, even if the package has not been opened.
The following cases are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
-If the delivered product is not defective.
-When the product is different from the image, etc. due to customer's convenience
-When the product is damaged or scratched by the customer.
-If more than 7 days have passed since the item arrived.
